Summer School - 2026

 

Research shows students who do not participate in a summer academic program can lose approximately two months of grade level progress in reading and math. To help prevent this learning loss, Sargent Central will again offer its Summer School Program.

Program Details

  • Eligibility: Students entering grades 1 to 8 for the upcoming school year who live in the area

  • Cost: Free

  • Dates: Tuesday, May 26th through Thursday, July 30th

  • Schedule: Tuesdays through Thursdays, 8:30 am to 12:00 pm

  • Location: School library

  • Flexibility: Students may attend at any time during the scheduled hours

  • Incentive: Work completed such as Accelerated Reader during the summer will count toward the first quarter of the upcoming school year

Transportation:
School transportation will be provided for students living in Brampton, Cogswell, Havana, Rutland, and Cayuga. Pickup times and locations are listed below.

Brampton (Intersection of Main St. & University Ave)

  • Pick up at 8:10 am

  • Drop off at 10:25 am

Cogswell (Post Office)

  • Pick up at 8:20 am

  • Drop off at 10:15 am

Havana (Post Office)

  • Pick up at 8:45 am

  • Drop off at 10:50 am

Cayuga (Post Office)

  • Pick up at 9:05 am

  • Drop off at 11:30 am

Rutland (Post Office)

  • Pick up at 9:15 am

  • Drop off at 11:15 am

Forman (Post Office)

  • Pick up at 10:00 am

  • Drop off at 11:55 am
