September 16th Ballot: Building Fund Authorization

Overview

On September 16th, voters will consider a revised measure asking whether to grant the school district authority to levy up to 10 mills for the Building Fund. This follows the June 10th ballot, where a proposal for 20 mills did not reach the required 60% approval. In response to community feedback, the district is now asking voters to consider a smaller levy authority.

North Dakota law requires voter approval before such a levy can be enacted. If approved, the funding would support facility maintenance, capital improvements, and reduce both short- and long-term strain on the district’s General Fund.
